Ticket Policies

  • On site security is available 24 hours a day throughout the weekend. Lock up all valuables to avoid theft.
  • Laketown Rock 2017 wristbands must be worn at all times and are subject to inspection. Any wristbands found to be altered, tampered with or fraudulent will be removed and the owner will be escorted from the site.
  • Any criminal activity, violence, public inebriation, destruction of property or any other violation of Laketown Rock 2017 rules is subject to removal of wristband and immediate ejection from the grounds and possible arrest.
  • Two pieces of valid ID (1 photo) required at all times.
  • Parents please be advised – underage drinking /contributing to a minor is a criminal offense. Police will be involved and violators are subject to removal or possible arrest.
  • Outside alcohol is permitted in camp site area only – NO drinking on roadways. Security will confiscate and dispose of alcohol found outside designated camp site areas.
  • We ask you support our merchandise, food and beverage vendors as partial proceeds go to help our local charities. To date Laketown Rock has given back over $550,000.00 to local non-profit organizations. Thank you!
  • Show ground gates are scheduled to open at 4:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For the safety of our patrons Laketown Rock 2017 retains the right to delay the opening if necessary.
  • With the exception of service dogs, NO animals are allowed at Laketown Rock 2017.
  • Chairs are permitted to remain overnight in the Reserved Seating area only. All chairs in General Admission must be removed nightly.
  • Patrons entering onto the festival property may have their image and/or likeness reproduced for promotional and/or publicity purposes in festival photography and/or web casts by the festival, contractor, media and/or partners of Laketown Rock 2017. By entering the grounds, you agree to allow such use of your image and/or likeness by Laketown Rock 2017.
  • No personal ATV’s, scooters, golf carts, horses, etc. allowed on site.
  • No glass bottles or glass containers allowed
  • Sales or distribution of any unauthorized or illegal materials without express written consent of Laketown Rock 2017 and/or its artists is subject to confiscation, removal or arrest.
  • Laketown Rock Concerts and Wideglide Entertainment Ltd. assume no liability for personal loss, injury, death, property damage or other related harm suffered by participants, spectators, site owners, leasers, or others who may be adversely affected by the event.
  • THE SHOW WILL GO AHEAD RAIN OR SHINE.
  • LINEUP SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
  • ALL SALES FINAL – NO REFUNDS.

What Are Acceptable Chairs?

  • All chairs in the General Admission area must be removed nightly. Chairs will be permitted in a selected zone in the Island’s Rock Pit area.
  • No umbrellas or chairs with canopies/foot rests. Please see “Accepted Chairs” and “Not Accepted Chairs”

Cameras

Please note that DSLR cameras, any camera with an interchangeable lens and GoPro’s are not permitted in the concert bowl.

Absolutely no video recording of any performance is permitted at Laketown Rock at any time unless you are accredited media with express permission.

Drinking & Driving

  • Always arrange a safe ride home. Taxis are available on site.
  • We have a comprehensive shuttle service. Please visit our shuttle bus schedule page for details.
  • Road checks will be done nightly by local law enforcement.

Smoking Bylaws

  • Smoking on the show site is allowed in designated areas only. Please use buckets provided and use caution when disposing of cigarettes.
  • Sales or distribution of any unauthorized materials without express written consent of Laketown Rock 2017 and/or its artists is subject to confiscation, removal or arrest.

Lost & Found

  • All Lost & Found items will be held at the Information Booth during the event. After the event please contact the Laketown Rock admin office.  Government issued ID will be handed over to Lake Cowichan RCMP following the event.

First Aid

  • The First Aid tent is located next to the show site entrance and are available throughout the event. In case of emergency, fire, police, and/or ambulance will be contacted as needed.

Evacuation

  • In the event of an emergency evacuation proceed calmly to the nearest exit and follow event staff to a per-determined staging area. Never attempt to go against the pedestrian flow. Laketown Rock 2017 staff will provide proper assistance for disabled patrons and children during an Emergency Evacuation.

Grounds For Eviction

  • Invalid or absent wristband
  • Rowdy or disrespectful behaviour
  • Excessive noise/noise after curfew
  • Messy campsites
  • Any criminal activity, possession of fireworks, weapons or illegal drugs
  • Contributing to a minor
